Bob joined HMC in September 2008 and serves on the boards of WellCentive and IngagePatient. He also serves as the board observer for nContact, MaxCyte, OpenQ and WiserTogether. In addition to his responsibilities at Harbert, he serves as the Past-President of the Southeastern Medical Device Association and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Southern Capital Forum, the Florida Venture Forum, the Innovation Depot and the True Vine Foundation. He is also a member of the Investor Advisory Board for the Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research, the Florida High-tech Corridor Council, serves as the Co-Chairman of the Commercialization Advisory Committee of the Birmingham Business Alliance, and is a Venture Fellow at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a Visiting Executive in Residence at Auburn University.
Prior to joining Harbert Venture Partners, he served as Senior Vice President/General Manager of the Pharmacy Services Division at US Oncology, a privately held, vertically integrated cancer care provider network with cancer clinics in more than 440 sites of service and a physician network consisting of over 1000 medical oncologists and radiation oncologists. Prior to US Oncology, he was a Senior Executive at CardinalHealth where he served as Vice President/General Manager of New Ventures. Prior to Cardinal he was the founder and CEO of Surgical Innovations & Services, Inc. (SIS). Under his leadership, SIS became a leader in the emerging outsource management sector, with over 300 hospitals and surgery centers under contract.
Bob is a graduate of the University of Georgia and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Political Science and Chemistry.
