Lori Chmura, CEO of Dune Medical Devices, wins Medtech Women@SEMDA 2018 Woman of the Year
SEMDA would like to congratulate Lori Chmura, CEO of Dune Medical Devices, Medtech Women@SEMDA’s 2018 Woman of the Year
As the CEO of Dune Medical Devices, Lori Chmura has been able to expand upon their Radio-Frequency Spectroscopy technology to improve the standard of care for patients while continuing her passion for women’s health as this technology detects any remaining cancerous tissue during lumpectomies – finally answering the question “did we get it all?” Before she began her career in the medical device industry, Lori started out in healthcare as a CCRN in critical care, trauma and emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, Emory University Hospital and St Joseph’s of Atlanta. Lori made the switch to medical devices after accepting a Clinical Specialist position at Datascope, now Maquet. Here, she took on positions with increasing levels of leadership that ended with her 10-year tenure as Vice President of North America Sales. She was then a Regional Corporate Sales Director at Medtronic and VP of Sales and Marketing at Covidien Endo Mechanical following that. Lori was most recently the VP of the US for Cordis, a Johnson & Johnson company. Lori has been able to handle change and deliver growth with every position she is in. She has led various women’s leadership initiatives, is currently serving as the President of the Atlanta Chapter Board for the Healthcare Business Women’s Association, and is on the Board of Directors for Atlanta’s Pine Crest Academy.
